My Pets

How could I forget to tell you about my newest pets? A few months ago we got a new little kitty from my sister's friend at work. His name is Bugsie and he is so cute! It took a few days for Tigger to finally accept Bugsie because she was not used to any other animals being around, she was the queen of the house. Now they get along great and they are always bouncing around together, chasing each other back and forth, wrestling around and even cuddling and licking each other. They are such a pair!

We also recently got a turtle, and we named him Sammy. we seem to like that name, because that's also what Jason named his first fishy. Now we keep a fish tank with goldfish just to feed to the turtle. We also stil have our 2 other fish tanks, one with community fish and one with more aggressive ones.

We love our pets and can't wait til someday when we have our own house and we can get a puppy too.

 

 

 

Work

I've been working for Network Solutions now for over 2 years. More than half the time, I've spent in Abay Support. I've learned so much in Abay and I've grown so much in the past few years. I've learned how to manage a group of new hires, how to help people set goals and achieve thier goals and how to help people gain confidence in themselves. My personal development has grown from pure fear of public speaking to sheer enjoyment teaching material I've become comfortable with as well as material I may have never seen before. I've also learned how to step up and take charge to lead people in the right direction, including the new hires as well as my peers. I am confident now and have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills I never thought possible.

Recently, I interviewed for a position as a Technology Specialist at the school I graduted from high school. I'm still waiting to hear the results, but whether I successfully earned the position or not, this was another confident step for me in the right direction.

Busy girl

It's been a while. I've been very busy working on computers, researching my family tree, working hard, contacting relatives, keeping the house clean, working out and eating healthy. Network Solutions now has Blogs included in their hosting packages. That is very exciting. Jason is in the process of building a kitty house for Tigger to play in. Spring is getting closer, can't wait for all the cold weather to be gone. St Patrick's day is this weekend, hopefully we'll get to go out and have fun.

I've been going to gymnastics every Saturday with Karisa. Katie went with us this last time because she is home on Spring Break. We've been practicing back handsprings on the tumble track. I've been doing them by myself, but a little crooked. Katie never tried round-off back handsprings before and was doing them perfectly by the end of the session. Karisa was doing them too. It's tons of fun.

Life After Christmas

Well, we've made it through Christmas. My favorite gifts are the Vera Bradley purse Jason got me and the tent my parents got me. What a busy time it was as always. Jay and I had a great time hanging out t Uncle Jeff's for New Year's. I think it was my favorite New Year's Party ever!

What a bummer, my website class got cancelled, I didn't even get the chance to learn anything. So now once in a while I'll go to art class with my Mom, and we'll spend some time learning how to paint. It's very rewarding once we finally finish a piece. I'm still spending time here and there working on my websites, editing photos, cleaning my how, playing with our kitten, Tigger, scanning ancestor photos into the computer, hanging out with my family and organizing my collection of movies and watching movies with my boyfriend. Once in a while my sisters come over and paint with me. I like to paint resin Christmas decorations.

There is always so much for me to do, my life is so busy and there is so much I want to do and learn and there just isn't enough time!

Thanksgiving Plans

I get to leave work early today, yay! I have PTO at 3:00 so Jason and I can take Bailey and Bubba to Jason's sister's in Bellefonte. Then we will spend the night with his dad and stepmom probably playing games and talking. It's been a while since we've seen them. We did go camping with them and the rest of Jason's relatives in the spring though, it was lots of fun. We spent most of the weekend fishing, we even fished in the rain and at night. So then we are coming back tomorrow after we visit with his family for a little while, and we'll have Thanksgiving dinner with my family. Then we'll go visit his mother and have some Thanksgiving dinner with her too. Sounds fun.

Highlighting and Cutting Our Hair

Katie came home from college yesterday, so we decided to do our hair together. It took me at least 2 hours to highlight all of her hair. Then she highlighted mine and I even let her cut it too. It came out pretty good, I'm very pleased with the results. I don't think I'll ever pay to get my haircut again, she did a great job.

Cancelled classes and moving friend

I'm so sad. My second and third class of Advanced HTML were cancelled, so now I have to wait until December 4th to learn anything. But I did alot of research online all week trying to find a website I liked to model mine after. Didn't have much luck though. I'm really picky. Also I just found out my friend Christa is moving in like 3 weeks. So that doesn't make me any happier. We were just starting to become really close good friends and now she' s leaving. I just hope she comes back to visit often and has me up to her place to hang out.
